Tercer correo de Rod desde India
Hola a tod@s,
Fue muy bonito la ceremonia. Tardo 40 minutos y ofrecemos flores y otras cosas como arroz y unas especias, no se cual era. Repeti una mantra tres veces, me lave las manos y cara en el ganges, bebi un pelin de su agua, tire agua lentamente de un baso tres veces dando una vuelta cada vez mientras miraba al sol (nublado!) Tuve una sensacion de `deja-vous` en algun momento y todo tenia sentido.
Podras ver fotos en http:\\rishikech-kerala.blogspot.com pero creo que sera cuando volvemos a espana porque no se puede subirlas a internet aqui en Rishikesh.
Hoy me ha dado la segunda paliza el masajista ayurvedico - hasta moratones en los brazos me ha hecho. Solo pienso en el subidon de energia que me aporta despues, porque es doloroso...o me gustara el dolor, no se?
Hasta Kerala! Un abrazo fuerte y gracias a los que me mandasteis vuestros sentimientos, no tengo tiempo a responder individualmente. Rod.
Hi again.
The ceremony was beautiful. It lasted 40 minutes and we offered flowers rice and some spices to the ganges. I repeated a mantra three times, washed my hands and face in the ganges and drank a little of its water. I slowly poured water from a cup back into the river turning around each time while looking at the sun (cloudy!) I had a `deja-vous` sensaton at one moment and everything seemed to make sense.
You`ll be able to see photos at the blog site when we can get them there, probably when we get back to Spain. Can`t do it in Rishikesh.
Today I had my second doing over during the Ayurvedic massage! I`ve got bruises on my upper arms! I just think about the energy rush I get afterwards for the rest of the day because it`s painful! Or maybe I enjoy pain!??
Till Kerala! A hug to everyone, will try to keep it going but it takes ages to do both languages! Thanks if you wrote back, but can`t write to you individually. Rod.

Segundo correo de Rod desde India
Hola de nuevo a tod@s,
Solo quiero informaros que la ceremonia con las cenizas sera manana a las 0900 horas en Rishikesh (19th December). Desafortunadamente, para los que quieren estar acompananando a nosotros, la hora espanola sera 04:30!
Hoy y ayer, hemos pasado el tiempo tranquilamente a gusto viendo los devotos haciendo sus rituales, tomando cosas en un ambiente muy agradable y con vistas del rio ganges impresionantes. Ayer, Emilio, yo, kris y Marilyn optamos por un masaje ayurvedico. El masaje de Kris y yo (el mismo masajista)fue bastante duro y doloroso, pero merecia la pena. Todos volvemos manana para otro! La comida aqui es buenissimo y las bebidas tambien - lassi de platano, zumos frescos de lima o naranja, chai.....Ya vamos a cenar. Un abrazo muy grande a todos...

I just wanted to let you know that the ceremony with Charo`s ashes will be at 09:00 in the morning (19th December, Rishikesh time). Unfortunately, this means it will be 4 and a half hours before this in your country (middle of the night!)
Over the last day or so we`ve been taking it easy, watching devotees in thier rituals, stopping at tea stalls and restaurants to take in the atmosphere and stunning mountain river scenery. Yesterday, Emilio, Marilyn, Kris and I went for an ayurvedic massage. It was quite painful, but well worth it! We`re all going back for another one tomorrow!
The food and drinks are great here - banana lassi, fresh fruit juices like orange or sweet lime, chai...We`re going for dinner now.

Primer correo de Rod
Hi everyone! I`m writing this in both languages as there are some English recipients! If you haven`t had mail from me for some time or ever, sorry for the shock! I don`t get much time to even think about contacting some of you!
We`re in Delhi right now in a friendly hotel waiting for the rest of the party to arrive (1:30 after midnight). The trip, as most of you already know, is to scatter Charo`s ashes in the Ganges at Rishikesh - as famous for the Beatles visit as it is for Yoga and meditation! We`ll all be there on Tuesday 16th December. Duncan, Gilly and I are also hoping to visit Rajaji Nature reserve as it`s just 6 km from Rishikesh and get on an elephant! We hope to do the ceremony on Friday 19th or Saturday 20th. After Rishikesh we`re coming back to Delhi to fly to Kerala in the south for a two weeks of backpacking. We`re already carring too much in the rucksacs as it`s warmer than we expected. I`ll try to keep you on the other end and leave space for Gilly to write the Spanish version! Have a lovely Christmas and New Year, love to you all....

Estamos en Delhi ahora mismo, esperando al resto del grupo en un hotel majo y bonito .
El viaje, como la mayoria de vosotros ya sabeis, es para echar las cenizas de Charo en el rio ganges en Rishikesh - tan famoso por la visita de los beatles como por el yoga y la meditacion. Estaremos todos alli el dia 16 de diciembre. Duncan Rod y yo tambien queremos visitar al parque natural, Rajaji, para montar en elefante. Esperamos realizar la ceremonia el viernes 19 o el sabado 20. Despues de rishikesh volvemos a delhi para coger un vuelo a kerala en el sur para hacer una vuelta de 2 semanas. Ya llevamos demasiado peso en las mochilas porque hace mas calor de lo que pensamos.
Intentare mantener el contacto con vosotros durante el viaje. Que tengais buenas fiestas y feliz navidad y a;o nuevo.
